first look at the console…

The new organ console has been designed by Sebastian, with a nod to the style of residence organs from the turn of the twentieth century… this nerve-center of the instrument will make leading our liturgy and hymns easier and and more musical for the organist, and is a model of efficiency.   You’ll notice the three-manual (keyboard) layout, and the wood that will match both the new balcony rail as well as the new organ case.

organ load-in…

a bright, sunny end of July morning, with a good cross-section of our congregation on hand to help carry in pipe trays, boxes and some of the large wooden pipes.  Pastors lead a welcoming liturgy, we introduced our organ building team, and the family joined in the festivities.   All ages participated in the load-in, from tall to small!
